See if an item is an upgrade before you equip it
Hover an item in WoW Forever and its tooltip says how much it would change your damage, for your spec. Green is an upgrade, red a downgrade. The DPS change is worked out the same way as on our free sim.

How it works
Install it
From CurseForge with its app, or unpack the zip into your game's AddOns folder.
Hover an item
In your bags, at a vendor, as a quest reward or in a chat link. The line sits at the bottom of the tooltip.
Hold Shift for more
Every spec of your class, both slots for rings and trinkets (and one-handers, if you dual wield), and the DPS behind the %.
What the line means
Your spec, worked out for you
The talent tree with the most points. Before your first talent point it uses our leveling pick for your class. You can choose a spec with /dnup.
What it can't rate
When an item has an equip or use effect, or a set bonus, the line says the effect isn't rated: the weights don't measure it. No line for healer specs yet: there's no healer sim.
Where the numbers come from
- 22 specs
- with stat weights from our sim runs, the two tank specs included; healers not yet
- Same as the sim
- the same weights and item data as our sim, shipped inside the addon
- Reads, never sends
- your gear, talents, class and level. Never your name or realm.
